PricePath is an AI-powered negotiation assistant that helps buyers analyze used-goods listings and craft strategic replies. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.
We've written this in plain English. If something is unclear, contact us at support@pricepath.app.
PricePath is the app and service described in this policy. Throughout this document, "PricePath," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the service. PricePath is currently operated by John Oxnard as a sole proprietorship, with plans to incorporate as a limited liability company. Our mailing address is 4522 W Village Dr, Unit #1402, Tampa, FL 33624.
PricePath is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete it.
When you create an account, we collect:
When you analyze a listing, we collect:
We store the analyses we generate for you, including:
When you use the reply coaching feature, we collect:
When you mark a deal as closed (purchased, walked away, etc.), we collect:
We do not collect or store payment card details. All purchases go through Apple's App Store or Google Play. When you subscribe or buy a credit pack, we receive only a confirmation token from RevenueCat (our subscription management provider) that tells us your account has access. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat handle the actual payment data per their own privacy policies.
We collect basic technical information automatically:
We do not collect precise geolocation, advertising identifiers, or behavioral tracking data.
We use your account information to authenticate you. We use your listing data and photos to generate AI analyses. We use your negotiation history to provide contextually aware reply coaching. We use your outcome data to show you your deal history.
We use payment confirmation tokens from RevenueCat to grant access to paid features. We never see your card details.
This is important and we want to be specific about it. When you mark a deal as closed, we record certain anonymized fields in a separate database table called analysis_log. This table is designed to make PricePath's AI smarter over time by learning from real negotiation outcomes.
Specifically, the analysis_log captures:
The analysis_log does NOT contain:
When another user analyzes a similar listing in the future, our system may query this anonymized log to find aggregate statistics from comparable deals (average close price, walk-away rate). These statistics are used to ground our AI's estimates in real market outcomes rather than relying purely on training data.
You can opt out. PricePath includes a setting called "Help improve PricePath" in your Settings screen. Turning it off does two things:
You can turn this setting on or off at any time. Past contributions cannot be restored once deleted.
We use technical signals to detect and prevent abuse — for example, identifying accounts that exceed reasonable usage limits or that appear to be automated rather than human users.
We may email you about account-related issues, security notices, or important changes to the service. We do not send marketing emails.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not allow third parties to track you across other apps or websites.
We share data with the following service providers solely to operate PricePath:
Anthropic processes the AI analyses. When you analyze a listing, the listing text, your photos, and your negotiation history are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. We use Anthropic's API (their commercial product). Under Anthropic's API terms, they do not use API inputs or outputs to train their models. Their privacy practices are described at anthropic.com.
Supabase hosts our database and authentication. Your account, analyses, and negotiation history are stored on Supabase's infrastructure, which is hosted on major cloud providers (primarily Amazon Web Services for US-region data). Their privacy practices are described at supabase.com.
RevenueCat manages subscriptions and credit pack purchases. They receive only the information needed to track entitlement — they do not receive your listing data or analyses. Their privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com.
Apple App Store and Google Play Store process payments and distribute the app. They handle payment data per their own privacy policies.
Crash and analytics services receive anonymized technical data about crashes and basic usage. We do not link this data to your identity.
We may also disclose data if required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PricePath, our users, or the public.
Account data (email, account record) is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete this data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer (for example, payment records for tax compliance).
Listing analyses and negotiation history are kept while your account is active. They are deleted along with your account.
Anonymized analysis_log entries (described in Section 4.3) are retained indefinitely because they are not linked to your identity. However, if you opt out via Settings, your prior entries are deleted immediately at that time (typically within seconds). If you delete your account while opted in, your analysis_log entries remain because they are no longer associated with you and cannot be re-linked.
Crash logs and aggregated usage analytics are retained for up to 24 months.
Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@pricepath.app. We will respond within 30 days.
If you're a California resident, the rights above satisfy the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not sell personal information.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, the lawful bases for our processing are: (a) performance of a contract with you, (b) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, and (c) your consent where applicable. You are entitled to all the rights granted by the GDPR.
We protect your data using:
No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
PricePath is operated from the United States. If you use PricePath from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States and the other countries where our service providers operate (primarily the United States, with some services possibly using EU-based infrastructure). By using PricePath, you consent to this transfer.
PricePath is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make material changes that affect how we use your data, we'll notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
